The Global Vault · World Debt Dashboard
Methodology

How to read the Global Vault

The Global Vault starts with public sources and then arranges them like a working market screen. The goal is not to bury you in raw tables. It is to move you from the world total to the country, region, year, and source that actually matter.

Source order

Public sources first

  • IMF Global Debt Database anchors the debt stock layer.
  • World Bank IDS and WDI fill the country-year detail layer.
  • UNCTAD adds development-spending and interest-burden framing.
  • CEPR and debt-management monitors support the distress layer.
Reading shape

One board, several useful entry points

  • The home dashboard is only the first stop.
  • Country, region, metric, and year pages answer different kinds of questions.
  • Data and share tools are available if you want to carry the board into your own work.
  • Support pages stay separate so your reading path stays clear.

Market Overlays

Institutional overlay feeds for rates and market context. These do not replace the official debt anchors.
